In the first part of this episode, Wendi and Chris "Zod" Smits (writer, publisher "Aw Yeah Comics") discuss the history and enduring relevance of America's greatest superhero. It's a passionate discourse of ideals vs. relatability, his greatest storylines and whether or not Supes has a punk rock ethos!

Next up..... it's a Byrd, it's a plane... it's Megan Byrd ("Comic Book Candy" and Lauren Burke ("PI Jane", "I'm not Omnigirl") to break down Lois Lane's craziest storylines from the late 60s and 70s! Revisit the trendy fashions, mismanaged social issues and marriage obsession of "Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane".

Wendi celebrates her 50th episode with Robert E. Howard scholar, Mark Finn. Mark has written forewords to "Conan the Barbarian" comic collections and a biography of Howard, as well as being an accomplished novelist and comic writer himself. We talk all things barbarian (like "Beastmaster" and Grace Jones) as well as diverging on many crazy tangents and his new turn fleshing out the universe of a comic for the popular game "Fruit Ninja". He's a lot of fun, very Texan and an enjoyable listen!

Mark Waid and Peter Krause have been a dynamic duo for years now on such titles as "Irredeemable", "Incorruptible" and "Insufferable". Now that Mark has basically worked on every comic know to man, he has started his own digital imprint, Thrillbent. We talk about how he maintains his writing pace, building relationships in "Daredevil", and Peter's favorite childhood drawing toy.

This is a great episode if you're just getting into digital comics or really looking to read something new. They break down the diversity of everything Thrillbent is releasing and the innovations to make it easier to share.

I'm not going to lie to you- this episode is fantastic because Bobby Timony is an adorable man. He's a fun artist, has an infectious laugh, can juggle knives and loves classic old timey comedy. He's got a new title coming out from Monkeybrain called "Detectobot" and you should hear him talk about it.
