"Bowery Boys" is a webcomic from writer Cory Levine and artists Ian Bertram and Brent McKee, recently released in print by Dark Horse Comics. Levine discusses the intricacies of his historical slice of New York, from the gangster slang to the brutality of kid gangs, the organization of unions and the evolving ethnic landscapes.
The second half of the episode is a conversation with Sanya Anwar, artist of the exceptional webcomic "1001", the tale of "1001 Arabian Nights" from Scheherazade's perspective. Her gorgeous, flowing style can also be seen on variant covers from "Assassin's Creed" to "Jughead". She talks about nerding out on art supplies, growing up Pakistani in Canada, and working her first SDCC.
There is some background audio noise at the beginning that lasts less than 10min.
