Everything about artist/writer Michel Fiffe is crafted from a place of reverence, sincerity and respect. His long running indie comic, Copra, is a love letter to the 80s run of "Suicide Squad" and his work with Image Comics reimagining Rob Liefeld's "Bloodstrike" is not tongue in cheek in the slightest. Fiffe wears his influences well but shapes them through his unique independent lens. He and Wendi discuss these as well as the underrated impact of Kim Yale on women in comics, and a fascinating discussion of his correspondence with Steve Ditko and differentiating hating "fandom" but loving your fans.

audio note: there is an echo on Wendi's dialogue, hopefully you can bear through it for this great conversation.
